Statement from the NEHBPA Board
The board of the NEHBPA encourages our membership to always voice their opinions be they positive or negative. We have former members and individuals who take to social media never making any meaningful contribution other than to demonize the NEHBPA and our board of volunteer directors.
Attention Horsemen
We want to thank all those that helped us by contacting their State Reps and Senators as the NEHBPA Board was diligent in working to stop the Race Horse Development Fund being taken away from the horsemen for Purses, Breeding and our Health and Welfare Program.
Manfred Roos Has Passed Away
We are sad to announce the passing of Owner, Breeder Manfred “Manny” Roos. Manny was a former NEHBPA President.
Gerry Souto Has Passed Away
We are sad to announce the passing of Trainer Gerry Souto.
Terry Burke Has Passed Away
Our prayers go out to the Burke family Terry and family were instrumental in helping the horsemen on the backside at Suffolk Terry was a kind and generous individual to all. He will be missed.
Bruce Patten Obituary
Bruce P. Patten, 78, of Beverly, formerly of Peabody, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Charter Senior Living in Danvers surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Vicki (Avelino) Patten with whom he shared 24 years of marriage.
