2027 NEHBPA Election Nominations
The deadline for candidate nominations for the 2027 NEHBPA election is Tuesday, September 29th. This is the last call for candidates.
Lou Tasso Has Passed Away
We are saddened to learn of the passing of Lou Tasso. We will share any information regarding arrangements as we receive it.

We have an upcoming election this Fall (date TBD), with three Owner seats and one Trainer seat available.
Peter Wasel Has Passed Away
Peter C. Wasel, 78, of Lunenburg, MApassed away peacefully with his family by his side at UMass Memorial Medical Center North Pavillion in Worcester on August 2, 2026, after a brief illness.
State Budget Has Been Released
We just wanted to share that the State Budget has been released by the House and Senate and the RHDF (Race Horse Development Fund) funding stays intact, they did NOT take away any funding that supports our programs at this time.

Ballots Must Be Postmarked By December 5th
The ballots for the 2025 election have been sent out and are due back by December 12th and must be postmarked by December 5th.

Dr Geoff Fernandez Passed Away
Dr Geoff Fernandez died 10/9/2025. He was a Vet for years at all New England tracks.
