The board of the NEHBPA encourages our membership to always voice their opinions be they positive or negative. We have former members and individuals who take to social media never making any meaningful contribution other than to demonize the NEHBPA and our board of volunteer directors.
Recently one such individual advocated for giving the entirety of the RHDF funding to the Standardbreds. This individual seemingly has no thought of the 87 retired men and women who receive a monthly Tom Corey assistance payment. Often this assistance is the difference between making a rent payment, a medical bill or even just putting food on the table. Furthermore they have no compassion or care for the numerous annual emergency benevolence payments the NEHBPA makes to horsemen who are in critical need.
Egotistical keyboard warriors safe in their cocoons should not try to determine the needs of our membership.
