Bernard Bramante Obituary
Bernard Bramante passed away at Tufts Medical Center in Boston on Tuesday. He was 78. Born and raised in the West End, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Tripolina Bramante. He worked in the fishing industry throughout his life and with his brother operated B and D Brokers, a fish brokerage and auctioneer firm. For many years, Bernard was an owner and trainer of thoroughbred horses.

Arlene M. Falk Passed Away
We are sad to report that Arlene M. Falk has died. She was first licensed as an owner in the 80’s in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and at the Fairs. More recently she was licensed in Massachusetts, NY, NJ, and PA as one of the two members of the Gold Bear Farm Stable.

Final Post-Time at Suffolk Downs September 15-16
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission has approved a request from the New England Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association and Sterling Suffolk Racecourse for a fourth and final racing weekend to be held September 15-16 at Suffolk Downs.
