Obituary :: Anne Fazzina

Anne Fazzina, age 92, of Stoneham, formerly of Wakefield, died Sunday, May 28 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Anne was born in Boston on February 15, 1931, and was raised in the West End of Boston. She married her husband and the two began their family in Medford before making their home in Revere and then ultimately settled in Wakefield for many years. She had worked at a handful of insurance companies throughout her career, most notably, John Hancock and the former American Mutual of Wakefield. Anne also enjoyed volunteering her time politically. In her younger years, she was very active in the theater: acting, singing and dancing. Anne’s ultimate calling in life was that of wife, mother and homemaker, roles she cherished most. She was well liked and had a heart of gold.

She was the beloved wife of Paul F. Fazzina, with whom she shared 69 wonderful years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Paula Fazzina and her husband Joe DeLuca of Pelham, NH and the late Nancy Malonson and her surviving husband Fred Malonson of Wakefield. She was the adoring grandmother of Lori Malonson of Peabody, Michelle Malonson of North Carolina, Eric Estevez and his wife Lissett of Florida, Greg Estevez and his wife Rachel of Pelham, NH and Joseph Estevez of Honolulu, HI. She is also survived by five great grandchildren: Josephine, Gabriella, Vincent, Wyatt, and Hawthorne; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Friday from 9-11am, followed by a service at 11am.
